Former Freehold Resident, FRHSD Teacher Harry E. Wilson Jr. Dies at 68

Harry E. Wilson Jr., 68, of Middletown, NJ, died on Wednesday at his home. He was born in Neptune and lived in Freehold before moving to Middletown 35 years ago. Harry worked as an art teacher for Freehold Regional High School, then as Supervisor of Art, Supervisor of Computer Graphics and Industrial Arts and Supervisor of Family Consumer Science all for the Summit Board of Education. He also initiated the F.L.A.S.H  summer program in Summit. Harry received many awards during his teaching career and was known as a fine artist and painter and then also for his computer art. He had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed by his many friends. 

Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Cathleen Wilson of Middletown; daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Matt Kelly of Howell; son, Jonathan Wilson of Middletown; grandson, Dylan Kelly; sister, Nancy Wilson; and 2 cousins, Lois Hernquist, Carol Giammetti. 

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Kathryn Wilson; and by his brother, Alan Wilson in 1991. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
