Freehold Resident Dies at 72

Visitation for Vita Buccellato will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at the Waitt Funeral Home in Morganville.

Vita Buccellato, 72, of Freehold died Tuesday, Feb. 26 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, New York, New York.

Buccellato loved to live her life and loved spending her time with her entire family. Whether she was traveling with cousins and friends, or joining her daughters for trips to the Poconos or Adirondacks, she loved to capture the essence of all she knew through her photos to hold onto the moments shared with everyone.

Buccellato leaves behind her loving sister Lillian DiBari, as well as the families of her two daughters, Constance King and Susan Weber, and their father, Phillip Buccellato; Constance and Susan's husbands, Frank King and Michael Weber, respectfully, and four grandchildren, Frankie, Jamie, Nicole, and Victoria, in addition to friend Eric Florez.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 highway 79, Morganville.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Clement Church, Matawan, followed by entombment in St. Gabriel Cemetery. The family requests that all of those who are considering donating flowers to instead please donate the money that would have been spent to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to help those who fought as Buccellato has. Donation wills be accepted in her name at P.O. Box 27106, New York, NY, 10087-7106.
