Freehold Resident Olive Trippiedi Dies at 91

Trippiedi was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church.

Olive Trippiedi, 91, of Freehold passed away at home on Sunday, February 16, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn prior to moving to Richmond Hills, Queens settling in The Villages in 1991. Olive worked for Mergenthaler Linotype in Brooklyn prior to becoming an aide for the New York City Board of Education. She was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Township. Olive was an active member of the Villages community where she formed very special friendships throughout the years.

Olive was the wife of the late Joseph Trippiedi; mother of three children, Janice Rocco of Lakewood, Richard Trippiedi and his wife, Patricia of New York State, and Diane Bargna and her husband, Fabio of Oceanside, NY; adoring grandmother of six and proud great grandmother of four. 

Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. with her funeral service to follow at 8:30 PM. Interment will be private. For those who desire, contributions in memory of Olive may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
