Olde Freehold Day Music Coordinator Dies at 59

Stage at Lake Topanemus named in Ronnie Davis' honor at this year's event.

Ronald V. Davis, 59, of Neptune Township died Friday, July 26, 2013 at his home. He was born in Neptune and had resided in Freehold before moving to Neptune.

He was a graduate of Freehold Township High School and attended Brookdale Community College and Harris Phlebotomy School, Ocean. 

Ronnie was the music coordinator for Olde Freehold Day, a community Event held at Lake Topanemus. At this year’s Old Freehold Day the stage was permanently named “The Ronnie Davis Stage in honor of his contributions to the event.

Surviving are his mother, Katherine Davis and two brothers, Ray and Derek Davis.

The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. The interment will be held at Maplewood Cemetery Freehold.
