Obit: Lifelong Freehold Township Resident Dies at 87

Anthony G. Flora, 87, died Friday, May 3, 2013

Anthony G. Flora, 87, of Freehold Township died on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.  He was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong Freehold Township resident.  Anthony worked in the maintenance department at Nestle in Freehold until retiring in 1992. 

Anthony was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Flora, Sr., and Angelina Damato; two sisters, Rose Dresser and Genevieve Nikitin; and a brother, Louis Flora. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Flora of Freehold Township; one son, Kenneth and his wife June Flora of Milford, NJ; Two step-sons, Michael and Todd Meyer of Litchfield, IL; two step-daughters, Shanna and her husband Tom Beal of Jackson, NJ and Kim and her husband Bob Bartelt of Bradenton, FL; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Nagy of Cocoa, FL; two brothers, Joseph Flora of Jackson, NJ and George Flora of Waretown, NJ.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Freehold.
