Obituary: Anna Conover, 96

Anna Conover was a wife, mother and congregant of St. Rose of Lima Church.

Anna Conover, 96, of Freehold died at home on Oct. 27. Her life, so well lived, was marked by a generous, kind, and loving spirit; always motivated by the best of intentions for others. To her family, she was advisor, confidant, protector, and friend. Home for Conover was a place of gathering, friendship, and fun. Conover was talented, she could do last minute alterations just before a wedding, create costumes for a play or Halloween, or wield a saw and hammer to build a dog house, only to name a few. And enjoying the company of others was of greatest priority.

Her loyalty to her family, her dedication to God and the church, her love of singing in the choir at St. Rose parish, and her joyful sense of humor is indeed inspirational. She lived her life with enthusiasm and courage, and even in spite of age and failing health, never ceased to live it to the fullest.

She was the widow of James Conover, who died in 1983.
