Obituary: Helen C. Becker, 100

Becker was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and owned and operated Becker Farms in Howell Township.

Helen C. Becker, 100, of Freehold Township passed away at her residence on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011. Becker was born and had lived in Secaucus before moving to Howell Township in 1952. She became a resident of Applewood in 1988. Becker, along with her husband, Frederick A., owned and operated Becker Farmers in Howell Township until their retirement in 1987. Prior to that, together they ran a farm in Secaucus. She was a member of , Freehold.  Becker was also a former member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Secaucus and a member of the Ladies Aid Society, at the church.

Becker was predeceased by her husband, Frederick A. Becker in 1967; two granddaughters, Christine Marie Becker and Suzanne Becker; six sisters; and three brothers.  She is survived by her three sons, Fred Becker and his wife, Frances of Manning, South Carolina, Henry Becker and his wife, Rose of Colts Neck and William Becker and his wife, Laura of Howell Twp.; thirteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

Visiting at , 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 9:30 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011. Interment will follow at the , in Freehold.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Helen may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church, 200 Park Avenue, Freehold, NJ 07728.
