Obituary: Leone L. Wilson, 93

Wilson was a talented artist who was born and raised in Freehold.

Leone Louquet Wilson, 93, of Freehold died at home on Monday, Sept. 10. Wilson was born and raised in Freehold and had lived in Jackson before moving back to Freehold. She was a 1937 graduate of . Wilson was an outstanding artist and received a scholarship from the Freehold Woman’s Club to attend the School of Industrial Arts in Trenton. Over the years, Wilson had many jobs to help raise her family but working at McGraw-Hill was her favorite.

Wilson was predeceased by her husband, James C. Wilson, Sr., three grandsons, a granddaughter, three brothers, and a sister. She is survived by a son, James C. Wilson, Jr.; nine daughters, Nancy Coleman, Suzanne Barth, Jean Riedesel, Linda Coxon, Ellen Guthrie, Kathy Pardi, Deborah Kuncken, Rosemay Wilson, and Amy Carney; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; a great-great grandson; a brother, Fred Louquet; two sisters, Alice Crawford and Virginia Gillispie; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting at the Home in Freehold Township on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11 a.m. Funeral Service at the funeral home on Friday, Sept. 14. Interment will follow in Ardena Cemetery, Howell.
