Margaret M. Hayden of Freehold died on Monday, March 26, at C in Freehold Township. Hayden was born in Bayonne, and had lived in Jersey City, before moving to The Villages in Freehold in 1975. She was employed by Prudential Insurance in their Newark and South Plainfield locations for over 30 years before retiring in 1982. Hayden was a member of S and a graduate of the Academy of St. Aloysius High School, Jersey City, and a member of its Alumni Association. Hayden was a member and former Treasurer of St. Marks Rosary Altar Society in Sea Girt and member of the Spring Lake Women’s Club, the Spring Lake SCAMPS, and the Howell Friendship Club. She was also a member of the Prudential Retirees Club.
Hayden was predeceased by her husband, John Hayden; a daughter, Margaret and a brother Thomas Manning. She is survived by two sons, Dennis Hayden of Freehold and Stephen Hayden and his wife, Cynthia of South River; a daughter, Dorothy Rodziewicz and her husband, Robert of Ocean Township; two granddaughters, Patricia and Kathleen; two sisters, Sister Mary Stephen Manning, MSC at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Paterson and Jeanne Gallagher of Hightstown, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be at the on Wednesday, March 28 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Rite of Committal at the funeral home on Thursday, March 29 at 9:00 a.m. followed by her 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church.
