Michael F. Abt, 64, of Freehold, died suddenly on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at in Freehold Township. Born in Brooklyn, he resided in Freehold for most of his life. He was a communicant of in Freehold Borough. Abt was an electrician for Local 3 in New York for over 40 years. He loved to golf with his friends and ride his Harley Davidson. Abt was a loving husband, son, father and grandfather, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his his parents, Henry and Elvira Abt. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Helen; three sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Jean Terese, of Monroe, Christopher and Jennifer, of Howell, and Keith and Laura, of Tinton Falls; his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Lorenzo Miceli, of Lake Hiawatha; brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Linda Abt, of Menifee, CA; sister and brother-in-law, Marion and George Davis, of Spring, TX; and five grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, Oct. 2, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the , 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 3, at 10 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
