Obituary: Michael S. Josem, 68

Michael S. Josem was a husband, father and grandfather who worked for Freehold Township.

Michael S. Josem, 68, of Freehold Township died  at his residence on Saturday, Oct. 8. Josem was born in Bronx, NY and had lived in Maryland before settling in Freehold Township 28 years ago. He worked for Freehold Township in the municipality’s maintenance department until retiring last July. He continued working for the township on a part-time basis. Josem also volunteered at CentraState Medical Center.

Surviving are his wife, Gladys Josem, of Freehold Township; three daughters, Becky Hawkins, of Herndon, VA, Tish Manzaplares, of Port Ludlow, WA and Beth Velasco, of Plant City, FL; a son, Scott Poris, of Marlton; a brother, Donald Alexander, of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the , 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) in Freehold Township, on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. with Rabbi Brooks Susman, officiating.
