Obituary: Pamela K. Ecke, 57

Services for Ecke will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 16.

Pamela K. Ecke, 57, of Freehold Township, died at home on Sunday, Jan. 13 surrounded by her family.

Ecke was born in Elizabeth and had lived in Milltown before moving to Freehold Township 23 years ago. She was a homemaker, beloved wife, mother and wonderful grandmother.

Ecke is survived by her husband, Lawrence Ecke of Freehold Township; two sons, Lawrence Ecke II and his wife, Michelle Cutler of Milltown and Brandon Ecke and his fiancée, Desiree Jackson of Cookstown; one daughter, Melissa Ecke and her fiancé, Jason Wilson of Jackson; four grandchildren, Dominic, Kaitlyn, Maximus and Emma; her parents, Bobby and Eileen Hemmings of Monroe; five sisters, Debra Wercholak and her husband, Jon, Cynthia Roche and her husband, Mitchell, Cheryl MacDermant and her husband Robert, Barbara Kashork and her husband, Scott and Joellen Turiano and her husband, Carmen; two brothers, Duane Hemmings and his wife, Michele Anreola and Robert Hemmings and his wife, Lori; her in-laws, Carl Jr. and Margaret Elaine Ecke; three sister-in-laws, Susan Norrell and her husband, Fred; Sandra Creighton and her husband James, and Judith Comerford and her husband, Thomas; one brother-in-law, Carl Robert Ecke, III; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting will be at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home in Freehold Township on Wednesday, Jan. 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 17.

Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Pamela’s memory may be made to Cancer Treatment Center of America, 1331 East Wyoming Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19124. For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
