Obituary: Ronald N. Haden, 77

Haden was husband, father and a letter carrier for the Freehold Post Office.

Ronald N. Haden, 77, of Freehold, died at home on Saturday, Dec. 24. He was born in Freehold and was a lifelong area resident. Ronald retired in 1992 as a letter carrier for the Freehold Post Office. Previously he had worked at 3M in Freehold Township and also the Lakehurst Naval Air Station. He was a graduate of Freehold High School class of 1954. Haden was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the . Haden was the Treasurer of the Monoc Homing Pigeon Club as well as a member of Central Jersey Homing Pigeon Combine and the International Federation American Homing Pigeon Fanciers, Inc.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Davina Haden; a brother, Alfred “Kenny” Haden; a sister, Eileen Graef; and many nieces and nephews. Surviving is his wife of Fifty years, Madelyn “Liz” Haden, of Freehold; a son, Ronald N. Haden Jr. and his wife, Laura, of Freehold; a daughter, Gayle E. Reese and her husband, Brian, of Jackson; and five grandchildren, Gabrielle Haden, Carly Haden, Brooke Haden, Jayden Reese and Gunnar Reese.

Visiting at the , 100 Elton-Adelphia Road in Freehold Township, on Wednesday, Dec. 28 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 29.
