Obituary: Thomas Glunk, 57

Glunk was a devoted volunteer for No Kill P.A.W.S. Shelter and an avid Yankees, Rangers and Giants fan.

Thomas A. Glunk, 57, of Freehold Township died at his residence on Thursday, Jan. 10. 

Glunk was born in Newark and had lived in Union for 15 years before moving to Freehold Township 21 years ago. He was a Design Turbo Oil Specialist for BP, Bayway Refinery in Linden for 31 years and was a devoted volunteer for No Kill P.A.W.S. Shelter in Bryson, City, NC. Glunk was a member of the Golf Club of New Jersey and an avid Yankees, Rangers and Giants fan.

Glunk is survived by his wife, Joan Kilgannon Glunk of Freehold Township; his mother, Mary Glunk of Bridgewater; three sisters, Maryann Hogarty and her husband, Dan of Green Brook, Patricia Halicki and her husband, Mark of Green Brook and Cecelia Petela and her husband, John of Clark; eight nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Kevin Kilgannon and his wife Tamsin of Lebanon Township; a sister-in-law, Ellen Kilgannon and her partner, Debi Allen; his godmother, Rita Boan of Dingmans Ferry, PA; and his four fur friends, Sweet Pea, Daisy, Woody and Grayson.
