Obituary: Vivian B DeHart, 103

DeHart was a long time Freehold resident and the oldest member of First Presbyterian Church of Freehold.

Vivian B. DeHart, 103, of Freehold Township died on Thursday, Sept. 20, at The Manor. DeHart was born in Freehold, operated several farms with her husband in Manalapan and returned to Freehold Township 10 years ago. She graduated from Freehold High School and worked as a Title Insurance Secretary retiring from NJ Realty Title insurance Company. DeHart was the oldest member of First Presbyterian Church of Freehold and a member of the Ladies Guild. She loved and adored all animals.

DeHart was predeceased by her husband, Alan DeHart; her brother, Clois D. Blakeney; and a stepson,Thurman DeHart. She is survived by one brother, Wade F. Hill and his wife, Virginia of Manasquan; nephew, Donald F. Hill and his wife, Michelle; a niece, Beth A. Carbone and her husband, Ralph; a grandson, Barry DeHart and his wife, Mary; a grandniece, Katie Carbone; two grandnephews, R.J. Carbone and Daniel J. Hill; and a daughter-in-law, Cecily DeHart.

A private entombment will take place Monday, Sept. 24  at 2 p.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home.
