3 Face Shoplifting Charges

Individuals are accused of shoplifting from Freehold Raceway Mall stores in separate October incidents.

The reported the following notable shoplifting incidents in Freehold Raceway Mall in October:

  • On Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 7:09 p.m., Abercrombie & Fitch personnel reported the theft of $1,382 worth of clothing from the store. A suspect has not been found.
  • On Thursday, Oct. 13 at 8:30 p.m., Lord & Taylor loss prevention stopped 23-year-old Jackson resident Michael Corichi. He was allegedly found in possession of $400 worth of merchandise. Corichi was charged with shoplifting, possession of an anti-shoplifting device, and receiving stolen property, according to Freehold Township police reports.
  • On Friday, Oct. 14 at 5:38 p.m., Fernando Buitrago, 24, of College Point, NY, was allegedly found in possession of $3,128 worth of merchandise from Abercrombie & Fitch. He was charged with shoplifting and possession of an anti-shoplifting device, according to Freehold Township police reports.
  • Maha Gibaly Elgibaly, 45, of Jackson, faces charges of robbery and employing a juvenile in the commission of a crime. On Saturday, Oct. 15 at 4:10 p.m., Elgibaly was arrested by officer Frank Mount for allegedly taking $1,500 worth of merchandise from JC Penney.
