Asbury Man Allegedly Receives Property Stolen from Mall

According to Township Police, an Asbury Park resident was arrested and charged on multiple counts including receiving over $500 stolen property.

Tyshon H. Hawkins, 18, of Asbury Park, was arrested and charged with allegedly receiving stolen property in excess of $500, allegedly entering into a conspiracy to commit commercial retail theft at the Freehold Raceway Mall and allegedly providing police enforcement with false information.

According to the complaint warrant, some of the items Hawkins allegedly received from the mall stores include handbags, shoes, clothing and costume jewelry. The warrant also states that Freehold Township was the responding officer.

Hawkins has been remanded to the on $10,000 bail.
