Asbury Park Woman Indicted On Credit Card Thefts

Woman stole and used two credit cards, indictment says

An Asbury Park woman was charged in a five-count indictment stemming from arrest for credit card thefts in Freehold Township, authorities said. 

Donna L. Saunders, 33, was indicted on two counts of fourth degree credit card theft, two counts of third degree fraudulent use of a credit card, one count of attempted fraudulent use of a credit card by a grand jury, who handed up the indictment Tuesday.

Saunders stole an American Express in Freehold Township on Sept. 21 and used the AmEx card at a local 7-Eleven store the same day, according to the indictment.

Saunders also tried to use the AmEx card on Sept. 22 at either WalMart in Neptune Township or Target in Ocean Township, the indictment says.

Saunders on October 17 stole a Sovereign Bank credit card in Freehold Township and used it that day either at the Super Extra Supermarket, Gas Plus or 7-Eleven, according to the indictment.
