Police: Freehold Man Barricaded Himself in Attic to Avoid Arrest

Jesus Ortiz, 32, of Throckmorton Street in Freehold Borough, faces two charges of threatening police officers and refusing to comply with an officer’s orders. According to the complaint warrant, Ortiz allegedly threatened to fight and/or stab any police officer who attempted to arrest him. 

The warrant explains that the reason for the arrest was due to an outstanding warrant. In order to prevent the arrest, Ortiz allegedly barricaded himself in an attic.

Ortiz was remanded to the on $6,000 bail.
