Freehold Borough Police Say Woman Speared Her Way Through a Windshield

Everina Powell faces weapons possession and criminal mischief charges.

A spear may not be the weapon of choice for most people these days, but it was for at least one Freehold resident, according to court papers.

Everina Powell, 20, faces several charges including committing terroristic threats for threatening another person on Sunday. Powell is also charged with third degree possessing a weapon for an unlawful purpose for the purpose of using it against a person or property for having what is described as a "large wooden object with metal endings," against the reported victim. She also faces a charge of fourth degree unlawful possession of a weapon for allegedly having the large wooden stick with a metal spear-like ending.

As a result of the incident Powell is also charged with criminal mischief for breaking the person's windshield and causing damage in excess of $500.
