Freehold Borough Resident Charged With Burglary

Arrest came after reported burglary at Pepe's Deli.

While investigating a burglary in the borough on Wednesday, Freehold Borough police say they identified a suspect in that incident and were also able to link him to other burglaries in the town as well.

Lt. Michael Sweetman said the department was called for a reported burglary at Pepe’s Deli. Upon arriving, Patrolman Walter Perski determined that items valued between $400 and $500 had been taken from the business including money and products.

Detectives from the department investigated the scene and identified a suspect as 40-year-old Borough resident Christopher Allgood and a warrant was issued for his arrest. At 10:38 that night Allgood was seen by Ptl. Sam Hernandez and was arrested without incident according to Sweetman.
