Brooklyn Man Arrested in Township

According to a complaint warrant, a Brooklyn man faces five charges surrounding marijuana and forgery.

Clevon E. Grant, 23, of Brooklyn faces multiple charges after being arrested in Freehold Township on March 22.

According to a complaint warrant, Grant, is facing five charges including possession of a controlled dangerous substance, intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, forgery, criminal stimulation and attempted theft by deception.

On Thursday, March 22 Grant allegedly possessed ten fraudulent $100 bills. The warrant explains that with those fraudulent bills, Grant was able to obtain over $500 worth of merchandise at a local retail establishment.

The retail establishment where the bills were used was not named in the warrant. The warrant further explains that the police believe that marijuana was the controlled dangerous substance Grant allegedly possessed and had the intent to distribute.

Grant has been remanded to the . His bail has been set at $36,500.
