Car Fire Stops Traffic on Route 9

East Freehold Fire Company responded to the scene.

A car fire stopped traffic northbound on Route 9 near the Juniper Business Plaza at approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday. Firefighters from the East Freehold Fire Company responded to the scene.

Freehold resident, firefighter and photographer Craig Haas captured these photos of the scene.

According to Haas, Adelphia Fire Company Chief Jason Howlett came upon the scene and advised the county dispatch of the car fire. No injuries were reported. Traffic was affected for approximately 15 to 20 minutes, Haas said.
