Ely Harmony Road Crash Leads to Arrest
Christopher Kanis was charged with possession of marijuana.
A Hightstown man was charged with marijuana possession following a Freehold Township crash on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
Christopher Kanis, 31, was driving on Ely Harmony Road near Nomoco Road at 6:15 p.m. when his vehicle struck a pole, according to Freehold Township police reports. Freehold Township police, , and Freehold First Aid & Rescue Squad responded to the scene.
Kanis was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment.

He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Regardless of the charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the United States Constitution and state law.
