Approximately 40 Freehold Borough firefighters responded to a small fire at an office building on Friday morning, said Assistant Fire Chief Dan Megill.

The location, 64 W. Main St., is about 100 feet from the Freehold Borough Firehouse and next door to American Legion Post 54.

Mulch and debris under the building’s porch caught fire around 7:30 a.m., according to Megill. The flames were quickly brought under control.
