First Responders Assist Fallen Resident

The iron banister outside the victim's home had to be cut down in order to access her.

The Freehold Borough Fire Department, Freehold First Aid and Freehold Borough Police responded to a Mechanic Street residence Monday afternoon to assist a fall victim.

According to Police, the woman fell inside her home around 3 p.m. She was unable to get up on her own but was able to call out for help.

The Freehold Borough Fire Department was called to the scene to cut down the iron banister that was on the outside stairs of the home.

Once the banister was taken down, the woman was accessed and taken to the CentraState Medical Center. The extent of the woman’s injuries was not known at the time of transport.
