Freehold Borough Police Blotter: Man Arrested on DWI, Terroristic Threat Charges

Arrests and incidents in Freehold Borough from Feb. 11 to Feb. 19.

The Freehold Borough Police Department reported the following arrests and incidents for the municipality for Friday, Feb. 11 through Saturday, Feb. 19.

  • Maureen Walsh, 49, of Brick Township, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Friday, Feb. 11. At 11:50 p.m., Patrolman James Richmond stopped Walsh’s vehicle on East Main Street and detected the odor of alcohol on her breath. Walsh failed field sobriety tests and refused to take a breathalyzer test, police said.
  • A 13-year-old was arrested after allegedly breaking into a car on Ford Avenue on Monday, Feb. 14. The victim observed the child in the vehicle and accused the juvenile of stealing clothes out of the car, police said. Patrolman Sean Healey took the report.
  • Victor Reyes, 36, of Howell was charged with driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of a weapon, and making terroristic threats. On Saturday, Feb. 19, Sgt. Christopher Colaner stopped Reyes for a motor vehicle violation and took him into custody after detecting the smell of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. At headquarters, police say Reyes threatened to shoot Colaner and the officer’s family members. A knife found in Reyes’ vehicle was confiscated by police. Reyes was remanded to Monmouth County Correctional Institution, and bail was set at $20,000.
