Freehold Firefighters Knock Down Basement Blaze

Fire at Pond Road residence extinguished.

Firefighters put down a blaze at a Pond Road residence in Freehold Township Tuesday afternoon.

Responders from the , , and battled a basement fire that began around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Freehold Borough Fire Department Chief Ryan Bailey. The blaze was extinguished within an hour and a half. 

Freehold First Aid & Rescue Squad was also on hand. No injuries were reported, Bailey said.
