Freehold Man Accused of Assaulting Asbury Park Officer

The alleged incident took place over the weekend in Asbury Park.

A Freehold resident faces assault and preventing arrest charges after he allegedly pushed an Asbury Park Law Enforcement Officer.

Arthur Douglass, 25, allegedly pushed Officer Cynthia Yost while she was attempting to arrest him. According to the complaint warrant, Yost fell to the ground and injured her left hand after Douglass pushed her.

The alleged incident took place on Saturday, Oct. 20. The complaint warrant did not state what Douglass was being arrested for.

Douglass has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $15,000 bail.
