Freehold Man Arrested for Allegedly Possessing Drugs, Weapons

Aaron Gardner, 21, of Freehold, was arrested on for allegedly having over 50 grams of marijuana, cocaine and a Glock handgun.

Aaron Gardner, 21, of Freehold, was arrested on Friday, May 18 for allegedly having over 50 grams of marijuana, cocaine, paraphernalia and weapons with intent to distribute.

According to complaint warrants, Gardner was on parole for previous robberies at the time of his arrest.

Upon his arrest, police found over 50 grams of a green plant like substance believed to be marijuana and possession of a white plastic bottle containing an off-white, rock like substance believed to be cocaine. Police found small plastic bags commonly used for resale, a marijuana grinder and a digital electronic scale in a compact disc-style case.

In addition to the drugs, police allegedly found a glock semi-automatic handgun and hollow-point ammunition for a handgun.

Gardner is charged with 9 crimes: 2 counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance; possession of narcotic paraphernalia; 2 counts of possession with intent to distribute; unlawful possession of a firearm; possession of a prohibited weapon; possession of a firearm while engaged in narcotics activities; and possession of a weapon by a person prohibited from possessing weapons.

Gardner’s bail is set at $376,000. He is scheduled to appear in court at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesdau, May 22.
