Freehold Man Charged with Selling Drugs to Undercover Detective

County and Township Police arrested Kevin Goines on April 2 after an on-going investigation.

and the arrested a Freehold man for distribution of narcotic substances after a 5-month investigation.

Kevin Goines, 24, of Freehold, allegedly sold cocaine and heroin to undercover detectives on multiple occasions. Police arrested Goines on April 2.

“The arrest and investigation was a joint effort by both the township and the county,” explained Jim Jones, director of the narcotics and criminal enterprises unit at the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. “Basically there were a series of sales to undercover detectives."

According to police, the investigation was ongoing from back in December. The warrants say Goines allegedly sold cocaine to undercover detectives on December 27 and again on December 29 near .

Police say Goines was charged with possession of cocaine and heroin, intent to sell, and distribution on multiple counts. He is also charged with distribution within 500 feet of a public park.

Goines’ bail is set at $50,000.
