Freehold Man Indicted on Terroristic Threats Charge

A Freehold resident has been indicted on a terroristic threats charge and an eluding charge.

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Freehold man after he allegedly threatened to kill another person.

Michael P. Fleming, 30, of Manchester Court, has been indicted on two criminal charges following an Aug. incident. According to Fleming’s indictment, he threatened to kill a man. The alleged threat put the man in imminent fear for his life because he felt the threat could be carried out.

In addition to the terroristic threats charge, Fleming has been indicted on an eluding charge after he knowingly fled from two law enforcement officers. Fleming’s indictment states that two officers had signaled him to stop the motor vehicle he was operating, when Fleming did he not stop, he created a risk of death or injury to himself or another.

According to court documents both incidents took place on Aug. 29 in Freehold Township and/or Howell Township.
