Freehold Resident Airlifted to St. Barnabas From Howell Field
Woman suffered burn injuries to arms and wrists.
A Freehold resident was taken by state police medivac helicopter to St. Barnabas Medical Center after suffering burns to her arms and wrists
At 10:04 on Wednesday morning, Howell Township police officers were sent to Friendship Cleaners on Route 9 in response to a first aid call. According to the a release from the department an employee, Aurelia Toshua-Cuatlat of Freehold reported feeling dizzy. While working on a steam press Toshua-Cuatlat reportedly leaned forward onto the ironing platform, accidentally lowering the iron onto her arms.
As a result of her injuries she was taken by helicopter from the fields at St. Veronica's where the medivac landed. Several local departments responded to the call, including the Southard Fire Company, the Howell First Aid Squad and the Howell Police Department EMS Unit.
