Freehold Resident Charged With Shoplifting, Resisting Arrest

Charges stem from incident on October 10.

A Freehold resident is facing charges after allegedly trying to steal from a borough business and then run away from police.

Christopher K. Allgood is charged with shoplifting after allegedly talking materials valued at $214 from the store on or about October 10. Allgood is also charged with obstructing the administration of the law for refusing to listen to the commands of officers during the investigation.

The third charge according to court papers is for resisting arrest. Allgood is alleged to have attempted to run from officers attempting to arrest him and ordering him to stop and get on the ground.
