Freehold Township Man Burglarized Sandy-Damaged Home, Police

Jonathon Jackson allegedly broke into the Lincoln Place residence.

A Freehold Township man entered a home damaged during Superstorm Sandy with the intent of stealing from the property, Freehold Borough police say.

Jonathon Jackson, 50, of Stonehurst Boulevard, allegedly broke into a Lincoln Place home while it was under construction for damage sustained during the storm.

Jackson was arrested Wednesday and charged with burglary and criminal trespass. He was remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $52,500 bail. An initial hearing was scheduled for Tuesday.
