Loss Prevention Officers Report Attempted Shoplifting at Raceway Mall

With the holidays just around the corner, store loss prevention officers reported two incidents of people hoping to get presents from the Freehold Raceway Mall a little cheaper than advertised.

On Tuesday, Lisa C. Kelly, 42, of Philadelphia is alleged to have attempted to shoplift jewelry from the Lord & Taylor store. According to court documents, Kelly is alleged to have attempted to put several pieces of jewelry in her purse before leaving the store. The total retail value of the jewelry was reported to be $1,482.99.

Also on Tuesday, Bernadett Griffin, 46, of Newark is charged with shoplifting from Nordstrom. Griffin is alleged to have attempted to take seven watches from the store with a total combined value of $2,140.
