How Should Those Who Threaten Schools Be Punished?

Freehold Borough Police and the Freehold Borough School District have said they will punish those involved with the recent school threat.

Last week, Colts Neck High School, and all received written threats against them, causing students to be evacuated and police with dogs to check the premises.

According to Lt. Mark Wodell, having the dogs called in for these threats did not cost the town, but did require personnel on duty to spend two hours to remove students and deem the schools safe.

“The event is handled with the personnel already working. The dogs are part of a mutual aid response and do not incur a cost," explained Wodell. "If an accused is identified criminal charges would be signed by our agency.”
