Howell Man Accused of Using Imitation Coca-Cola Can to Conceal Heroin
Man charged with possession of narcotic paraphernalia and drug possession.
A Howell man faces three charges after he was allegedly found in possession of drugs and paraphernalia.
Freehold Township Police arrested Fotois H. Athanasenas, 48, of Newtons Corner, on Thursday, Feb. 28. According to his complaint warrant, Athanasenas was found in possession of 10 glassine envelopes containing a white powdery substance believed to be heroin. In addition to the envelops with the powdery substance, Athanasenas allegedly possessed another glassine envelope that had five pills of Alprazolam in it.
Athanasenas was also charged with possession of narcotic paraphernalia. The complaint warrant explained Athanasenas possessed an imitation Coca-Cola can that was fashioned with a removable top and hollowed area used to conceal a controlled dangerous substance. The can was also described to have a short length drinking straw containing a white powdery residue believed to be heroin. According to the complaint warrant, the straw could also be used to ingest heroin by snorting it.

Athanasenas has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $10,500 bail.
