Lacey Inn Resident Charged With Dealing Drugs, Assaulting Cops

Nicholas Cicerello arrested outside Forked River motel after brief struggle

A resident of the Lacey Inn was charged with drug offenses Monday after police executed a search warrant at the Forked River motel.

Nicholas Cicerello, 18, was arrested after a brief struggle with officers from the Lacey Police Department and the Prosecutor's Office Special Operations Group, Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford said in a release.

Officers arrived at the North Main Street motel with search and arrest warrants and observed Cicerello walking in the area. He fled on foot when officers tried to arrest him, Ford said, but was taken into custody after a chase.

Police seized 36 Roxicet pills, heroin and $680 in cash.

Cicerello was charged with two counts each of possession with intent to distribute; possession of a controlled dangerous substance, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance; resisting arrest; and assault on a police officer.

Superior Court Judge Ronald Hoffman set bail at $100,000, no 10 percent option.
