Local Man Accused of Distributing Drugs to Undercover Detective near School

Thomas Imfeld of Freehold allegedly possessed and distributed a dangerous controlled substance to and undercover detective near a local school.

A Monmouth County grand jury indicted a Freehold man on five charges involving alleged drug possession and distribution to an undercover detective. 

Thomas Imfeld, 32, of Traymore Road in Freehold, allegedly sold alprozolam to an undercover detective from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office within 1,000 feet of the Talmudial Academy in Freehold.

According to the indictment, Imfeld was accused of five charges including possession of a dangerous substance, intent to distribute the dangerous substance, distribution, as well as possession and distribution of a dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of a school property.

All five charges are classified as third-degree crimes.

According to U.S. National Library of Medicine, alprazolam is a tablet drug used to treat anxiety and panic disorders.
