The Golden Arches Shine Again in Freehold

McDonald's presented $400 donations to Freehold Township Independent Fire Company #1, Freehold First & Emergency Squad Aid Squad, and CentraState Medical Center's Children's Area during it's grand opening.

Following a six-month rebuild, a Freehold institution has been reborn.  After 30 years, the McDonalds on Route 9 has been completely rebuilt. The original structure was completely taken down in July and rebuilt from the ground up. The new facility includes a larger drive-thru area, new interior and more employees.

On hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Jan. 4 were members of the Freehold Township Committee, including Mayor David Salkin, Deputy Mayor Eugene Golub, and Committeewoman Barbara McMorrow; members of the the Freehold Township Independent Fire Company #1; members of the ; representatives; and the management staff from McDonalds.

Following the ribbon cutting by Salkin and McDonald's Site Manager Kelly Provenza, McDonald's presented members of the with a $400 donation. Additional donations of $400 were also made to the Freehold First & Emergency Squad Aid Squad and CentraState Medical Center’s Children’s Area.

According to John Santonastasso, operations manager of NY and NJ McDonald's, it’s very important for McDonalds to support the community. In addition to the donations made to the organizations in attendance, the staff had reached out to the Freehold Township Board of Education and let it be known that McDonald's would like to work with the local schools to help do fundraisers.
