Obituary: Henrietta VanArsdale, 82

Henrietta VanArsdale was a retired caregiver for the Visiting Homemaker Services in Toms River.

Henrietta VanArsdale, 82, of Bayville died on Thursday, Oct. 11, at Van Dyke Hospice & Palliative Care Center, Toms River. VanArsdale was born in the Squankum section of Howell, raised in Freehold and had lived in Lakewood, Bedford, VA and Mount Pilot, NC before moving to Bayville in 2009. She was a homemaker and retired as a caregiver for the Visiting Homemaker Services, Toms River.

VanArsdale was predeceased by her two sons, Jeffery and Joseph; a grandson; three brothers; and two sisters. Surviving are four sons, Thomas VanArsdale, Jr., Christian VanArsdale, Donald VanArsdale and Brian VanArsdale; seven daughters, Shirley Haley, Doris Hahn, Beverly Haverick, Henrietta “Doll” Mannikus, Mary VanArsdale, Linda Mount and Kimberly VanArsdale; thirty-three grandchildren; and twenty-one great grandchildren.

Visiting will be at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, on Sunday, Oct. 14, from 1 to 5 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11 a.m. funeral service on Monday, Oct. 15, at the funeral home.
