One Man Dead After Motorcycle Crash During Charity Ride in Freehold

One man is confirmed dead after a motorcycle accident during a charity ride for the March of Dimes on Sunday, according to the Asbury Park Press.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that happened in Freehold on Sunday during a charity ride.

Richard Incremona, deputy first assistant prosecutor, told the Asbury Park Press the crash occurred early Sunday during a charity event at Adelphia Road and Wellesley Way and involved multiple motorcycles and at least one car.

Incremona confirmed Sunday that one of the riders died as a result of his injuries, however declined to identify the man, pending notification of his family, according to the APP.

The group was participating in a March of Dimes “Bikers for Babies” charity ride that began at The Cabin restaurant in Freehold. According to the event website, the ride raises money to support education about the seriousness of premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality. The event started at in Freehold.
