Pedestrian Killed at Freehold Cartage

The accident occurred on the property of the waste removal company.

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a truck on the grounds of Freehold Cartage, Inc. at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. The Freehold Township Police Department confirmed several officers were at the scene of the accident.

Information on the nature of the accident was not immediately available. No other injuries were reported.

Freehold Cartage, Inc. is a waste removal and recycling company located on Route 33. The business employs 375, 240 of which are drivers, according to the company’s Web site.
