Police: Freehold Man Pointed Stolen Loaded Gun at Victim

The gun was loaded with hollow-point bullets, police say.

A Freehold Borough man is accused of pointing a gun loaded with hollow-point bullets at another person.

Nathaniel O. McDonald, 28, of Third Street was arrested in Freehold Borough on Sunday, according to arrest records. McDonald was allegedly in possession of a stolen Smith and Wesson revolver, valued at $400. According to arrest records, McDonald was ineligible to carry a weapon because of prior offenses. McDonald was arrested in 2006 on a theft charge and in 2010 on resisting arrest and drug possession charges, court documents indicate.

McDonald was charged with aggravated assault, weapons possession, possession of hollow-point ammunition, and receiving stolen property.

He was remanded to Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $55,000 bail with no option to post 10 percent of the bond.

Patrolman Peter Romanski of the Freehold Borough Police Department was the arresting officer.
