Police: Lock Your Cars At Night

Freehold Township Police remind residents to lock up following spate of car burglaries

The Freehold Township Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles at night following a spate of recent car burglaries.

There have been eight car burglaries in recent weeks, Sgt. Jerry Kiwit said. In each, loose change, cell phones or other small items are taken from unlocked parked cars, Kiwit said.

To avoid becoming a victim of these kinds of crimes, Kiwit said police are asking residents to remember to lock their car doors at night.
