Police: Neptune Man Created False Alarm

Two charges in connection with false information creating police response

A Neptune man was arrested and charged with creating a false alarm in Freehold Borough, according to an arrest warrant.

Carlos L. Cartagena, 35, was arrested and charged on Tuesday with creating a false public alarm and giving false information to a 9-1-1 operator when he claimed another man had a gun, creating a large police response, according to the warrant.

Cartagena’s bail was set at $10,000, the warrant says.
