The prescription cough medicine was taken at gunpoint from the Freehold Main Street CVS.

The Freehold Borough Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery of the Main Street CVS on Wednesday Morning.

Lt. Michael Sweetman reported the robbery occurred at approximately 9:07 when the suspect entered through a rear door and walked behind the prescription counter. At that time an employee confronted the person who then produced a handgun.

Sweetman said at the time the suspect took an undetermined amount of prescription cough medicine and put it in a blue, nylon draw-string bag before fleeing through the rear door. The suspect is reported to have gone on foot toward Broad Street but was gone by the time officers arrived at the scene.
