Police: Man Fought Freehold CVS Employee During Shoplifting Attempt

A Freehold man was charged with robbery after he attempted to shoplift from a store and in the process, injured a loss prevention officer.

A Freehold man has been charged with robbery after he allegedly attempted to shoplift from CVS.

Freehold Borough Police arrested Luis A. Colon-Rosario, 34, of Avenue A, on Sunday, Feb. 17. According to Rosario’s complaint warrant, he committed the act of robbery by inflicting bodily harm against a loss prevention officer during a shoplifting investigation at CVS.

Rosario has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $50,000.
