Resident Faces Burglary and Robbery Charges

The alleged crimes took place on Tuesday, Sept. 11. Resident was arrested later that day.

The arrested and charged a Borough man with one count of robbery, and one count of burglary, after he allegedly stole a bicycle and illegally entered a Jackson Street structure.

Khiry Carpenter, 18, of Center Street, allegedly stole a bicycle while in Freehold Borough on Tuesday. According to the complaint warrant, Carpenter allegedly hurt the owner of the bicycle in the process of the robbery. The warrant did not state what injuries the victim sustained.

In addition to the robbery charge, Carpenter faces one burglary charge after he allegedly entered a structure on Jackson Street and removed property. The warrant did not state what was taken from the structure or the value of the property taken.

Carpenter has been remanded to the on $60,000 bail. His first court appearance will be on Tuesday, Sept. 18.

We got the word "allegedly" in there 4 times!! I guess practice does make perfect.

That is a new record. I don't believe the word "allegedly" is in the definition of probable cause. FREE BOSS HOG
